New York Jets 2026 NFL training camp is underway and will be watched under a microscope each and every day. Especially with it being a make-or-break season for head coach Aaron Glenn as he enters his second season at the helm.

Throughout practices each day, updates are shared during the workouts which become intriguing and important notes.

Membou the rock

On the second day of training camp practices, top rookie David Bailey was a standout. The offensive line and especially tackle Armand Membou got his revenge. By all accounts at practice, Membou shined:

After a flashy practice on Thursday, David Bailey was noticeably quieter today. RT Armand Membou handled him well throughout practice. Bailey jumped offsides on one rep. #Jets

Geno was perfect

When we say perfect, we mean it. Jets quarterback Geno Smith was electric during team drills and did not miss anyone according to multiple reports including The Athletic:

Geno Smith with a perfect day in team drills.

Geno went 11/11 with 3 TDs in 11 on 11, 4/4 with a TD (Omar Cooper) in 7 on 7.

Ball never hit the ground. Chemistry with AD Mitchell keeps building. Six completions to Garrett Wilson.

Really good day for QB1.

Geno Smith was throwing dots today at practice, & Garrett Wilson agrees

Kicking battling

The Jets might've had some rocky kicking stats from spring practices, but the current battle is heating up. Jason Sanders and Cade York were both nearly as good as Smith was under center, missing from only deep distance once.

Jason Sanders finished 7/8 in his session missing from what we think 55 yards or so. Sanders hit from over 60 also.

Cade York was 6/7. Couldn’t get the distance he missed but it was over 50 yards
