3-star California tight end Max Markofski commits to Arizona

Arizona is in the middle of spring practice, and while most of the work is being done on the field getting the current roster prepared for the 2026 season plenty of activity is still occurring behind the scenes on future rosters. Unofficial visits are ongoing, and one of the prospects who was in Tucson this past weekend liked it enough to decide that’s where he wants to play college football.

Max Markofski, a 3-star tight end from California, committed the UA on Monday night. He is the third member of Arizona’s 2027 recruiting class.

The 6-foot-4, 228-pound Markofski chose the Wildcats over offers from Minnesota, San Diego State, UNLV, Utah and Washington State, among others. Markofski plays for Mission Viejo High School, where he plays both football and track.

Mission Viejo HS is the same school where the UA got kicker Michael Salgado-Medina and former Wildcats JT Hand and Jackson Holman.

Arizona’s other two 2027 commits are 3-star in-state receiver Trey Smith and 3-star Texas athlete Jalani Culpepper.
