3 Pensacola area girls wrestlers win district titles, 10 to go to regionals

Local high school girls wrestlers took the first step in the postseason on Feb. 14 with the district championships.

Gulf Breeze was the top placing local team, finishing fourth with 100.5 points. Niceville the host team, won the district title with 142 points, beating Lincoln by 18 points.

Gulf Breeze's Camdyn Elliott (110), Pace's Kiiaana Gavere (140) and Milton's Emily Davenport (235) won district titles in their respective weight classes. Seven other local wrestlers qualified for the Region 1-1A championship by finishing in the top four in their respective weight classes.

Below is a full list of local athletes who qualified for regionals, which will be held Feb. 21 at Mosley, as well as their path to the next round of the postseason.
