I think Peat will be ahead of Dunn on the depth chart by the All-star break. If it takes that long.

Fleming needs more seasoning and Maluach needs NBA minutes. I think Maluach could slide into a backup role now but I won't mind them waiting until injury or later in the season.

I think they're going to be even more cautious with Williams this year and Nick Richards is gone... so Man Man should get some minutes but they probably won't be consistent until someone gets hurt or he forces the issue.

Yang did not outplay him at all, not even close.

ManMan shut him down every time he got the ball in the post. Yang burned him one time on a drive.

He’s a better ball handler, driver and passer. ManMan is the better 3pt shooter.

Looking forward to the next game. Maluach and Peat did great. Hope they build on this. For Fleming, I want him to demand the ball and try to create his own shot a couple of times, or at least cut to the hoop and get in on offensive rebounds. Just be more active on offense. Do not defer. Fleming should be at the top of the pecking order. Was he ever the focus of the offense when he played college ball?

Man Man is the better post defender, rebounder, shot blocker, and lob threat.

Yes Yang is the better passer and ball handler.

Man Man has skills far more important for the Center position - and I am feeling pretty good about his progress.

For instance - compare him to Mark Williams. Man man is a better rim defender, and rebounder already. He also has a somewhat useful 3pt shot.

Mark Williams is a better post offensive threat - that's his only advantage that i see. To me Man Man should already be the starter.

I know it's just Summer League and it's prone to overhype. I am just comparing skill sets here. If Koa Peat takes anyones spot, or lessens their minutes, it probably isn't Bridges. It's probably Oso. Peat can pass to cutting players, set screens, can dribble hand off. Who does that sound like? Plus he has better in the paint shooting. I know most people look at PF and see Bridges as his competition, but I am thinking, this kid could play some small ball center like Oso, amd possibly do it better given enough time to develop.

Plus better on the lob game. The other kid looked limited in jump height as evidenced by Man Man just going over the top on him on lobs. It looked like Man Man had more motor, too. Which is good for us. Man Man was involved a lot on defense, and ran the floor a lot.

Williams needs to work on that three point shot. Something injury wise happened to Williams last season. Prior to December 5th, he was on an All Star pace stats wise, etc. Then December 5th hit and his stats started seriously tailing off, to being hurt during the playoffs. Maybe his foot started bothering him at that point and just got progressively worse?

When I said that Yang was outplaying Man Man earlier in this thread, it was because I saw Yang was seriously out-thinking and making Maluach look foolish around the rim in several situations. Maluach made up for it with his tools later, but I called out what I saw when I saw it.

One of the great things i heard on a podcast, it may have been Kellen Olsen, is he was making the point before this last Summer League game, that Man Man has had some struggles in the first half of games he has played in. Then he comes out in the second halves and plays much better. Olsen's point is Man Man is showing he is coachable and can make the adjustments at halftime the coaches are giving him.

sheer tried to drive - couldn't - passed it to koa who tried to drive and couldn't- so he just banged into the defender infront of him before shooting the ball - drew the foul and went to the line

That Koa Peat open court spinning lay up has been successful two games in a row. Looks like a Peat staple.

Last game there was a stretch, where Maluach, Fleming and Peat were on the floor at the same time. They set each other up on offense, and played solid defense. I was thinking, there's a glimpse of the Suns future!
