Texas A&M softball, seeded No. 6 in the SEC Softball Tournament, will open postseason play Wednesday against the 14th-seeded Auburn Tigers at John Cropp Stadium in Lexington, Ky.
The Tigers advanced by beating 11th-seeded Missouri 6-2 on Tuesday.
A&M (36-16) and Auburn (26-27) are both SEC schools, but did not face each other during the regular season. The Tigers went 4-20 in the SEC and ended the regular season by getting swept by LSU. The Aggies lost their regular-season finale series to Oklahoma, but did take one game from the top-ranked Sooners. A&M was 16-8 in the SEC this season.
