Along with making a number of outside signings, the Indianapolis Colts also re-signed tight end Drew Ogletree. Over the Cap now has those contract details and salary cap hit for the 2026 season.
The Colts signed Ogletree to a one-year deal worth $2.25 million. This includes a base salary of $1.5 million, $750,000 of which is guaranteed. Ogletree also earned a $750,000 signing bonus, giving him $1.5 million in total guarantees.
His salary cap hit for the 2026 season is $2.25 million. Not that we anticipate Ogletree getting released, but doing so would leave behind a dead cap hit of $1.5 million while only saving the Colts $750,000 in cap space.
Ogletree was a sixth-round pick in the 2022 NFL draft by the Colts and has carved out a role as the team's third tight end, often relied on to provide a blocking presence.
He's also been a core special teams contributor, playing on five of the six different phases last season, while totaling the fourth-most snaps on the team, according to PFF.
As of now, Ogletree will likely be TE3 once again, behind Tyler Warren and Mo Alie-Cox on the depth chart.
In his three seasons with the Colts, Ogletree has appeared in 40 games and made 20 starts. He's caught 22 passes for 283 yards with four touchdowns.
