You could probably add Dunn to this list. I like Dunn but he and Fleming overlap some.
I understand your perspective but I disagree. I think they’ll be a dominating defensive front court if they get an opportunity. Gotta find a way to reduce the number of shots Dunn takes though. He’s just not a shooter.

Without factoring in Goodwin & Williams, PHX are approx 4mil below the tax and 13mil below the 1st Apron.

You can either believe the Suns are going to be a tax paying team to run the exact team back or you can follow the math.

By my projections Suns will be roughly $4.6M under the tax and $12.6M under the first apron after re-signing Collin Gillespie. Can create more room if they move on from Haywood Highsmith and/or Jamaree Bouyea.

It'll get tight to avoid the first apron if they re-sign Mark Williams and Jordan Goodwin.

Gillespie back below the MLE in a shallow FA market is admirable work. Mutual desire to stay had to be there. Suns stay quality deep in the backcourt; curious to see if their size/strength up front is addressed beyond hoping Maluach/Fleming earn minutes at smaller vets’ expense.

More and more I think the Suns will look to trade Grayson Allen because of his salary.

The Suns are not worried about the luxury tax but will not enter the second apron per report.

The Suns are showing interest in Josh Giddey, per
@MikeAScotto

“Goodwin had a breakout season, averaging career-highs in points (8.7), rebounds (4.9), and steals (1.5) in 70 games. Within league circles, Goodwin’s projected salary range is believed to be around $5-6 million per season. Lastly, the Suns have also done some background on Chicago Bulls guard Josh Giddey, HoopsHype has learned.”

I like Giddy, but I don’t see him fitting in here unless we move a guard or two.

Very happy we got Goody and Gillespie resigned at really team friendly deals, much better than I was expecting.

Now I really want to move up in the draft somehow someway. Getting another quality developmental player is crucial.

Collin Gillespie and Jordan Goodwin will combine to make $16.5 million next season for the Suns.Great value from Phoenix locking in their second unit guard tandem at discounted rates through at least 2029.

As we said yesterday Goodwin was next. Now they will work on Mark Williams to see if they can come to an agreement. It is a three-year deal for $19 million for Goodie. The third year is a player option. The contract will start at $5.8 million and the option year will be worth $6.8.

If the Suns could find a way to get two big men out of this draft I would be elated. They are there for the taking. I'm not sure where they would put them both, but it's like collecting gold nuggets, always make room.

Two nuggets per Gambo:

1) Suns will not give Mark Williams more than two years or 17 mil per.

2) Suns will trade up from 47.

Well. If Mark is not that dependable, then he cannot command the same salary. Plain and simple.
