Trades are a major part of the NFL draft experience, often creating the biggest moments and surprises of the entire weekend. While every team has its own internal system for valuing selections, the Rich Hill trade value chart provides a widely referenced baseline that helps fans and analysts understand what it might take to move up or down the board.

The New York Giants enter the 2026 NFL draft with eight total picks across seven rounds, including two first-round selections after sending three-time Pro Bowl nose tackle Dexter Lawrence to the Cincinnati Bengals in exchange for the No. 10 overall pick.

Giants draft pick values

  • Round 1, No. 5 overall: 468 points
  • Round 1, No. 10 overall: 369 points
  • Round 2, No. 37 overall: 162 points
  • Round 4, No. 105 overall: 32 points
  • Round 5, No. 145 overall: 13 points
  • Round 6, No. 186 overall: 7 points
  • Round 6, No. 192 overall: 6 points
  • Round 6, No. 193 overall: 6 points

It’s easy to see how the Giants' allotment of picks starts strong with two top-10 selections before hitting a gap with no third-rounder and no seventh-round picks at all. Instead, they have a cluster of three sixth-rounders. That structure is partly the result of the 2025 draft-day trade, which landed quarterback Jaxson Dart in exchange for a third-round pick (Houston Texans, No. 69).

Trade-down scenarios

While the Giants are well-positioned with two early first-round picks and won’t need to trade up, they could look to trade down with either the No. 5 or No. 10 overall selection to acquire additional assets for the future.

Here are four potential trade-down scenarios for the Giants that make sense based on the trade value chart.

Trade with Kansas City Chiefs

  • Giants trade: No. 5 overall and No. 105 overall (500 points)
  • Chiefs trade: No. 9 overall and No. 40 overall (536 points)

Trade with New Orleans Saints

  • Giants trade: No. 5 overall (468 points)
  • Saints trade: No. 8 overall and No. 73 overall (471 points)

Trade with Chicago Bears

  • Giants trade: No. 10 overall and No. 105 overall (401 points)
  • Bears trade: No. 25 overall, No. 57 overall, and No. 60 overall (414 points)

Trade with Miami Dolphins

  • Giants trade: No. 5 overall and No. 193 overall (474 points)
  • Dolphins trade: No. 11 overall and No. 43 overall (496 points)
