New York Giants great Osi Umenyiora will announce the team's Day 2 selections at the 2026 NFL draft, the league announced on Thursday.

The retired defensive end, a cornerstone of two Super Bowl championship teams in New York, is set to take the stage during the second round on April 24 in Pittsburgh.

Born in London, England, Umenyiora was selected by the Giants in the second round of the 2003 NFL draft out of Troy University. He developed into one of the league's most disruptive pass rushers, recording a career-high 14.5 sacks in 2005 to earn first-team All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors.

Umenyiora played 10 seasons with the Giants from 2003 to 2012, contributing to victories in Super Bowl XLII and XLVI against the New England Patriots. His memorable six-sack performance against the Philadelphia Eagles in 2007 remains a franchise single-game record. He finished his Giants tenure with notable production before brief stints with the Atlanta Falcons, retiring in 2015 after a ceremonial return to New York.

The Giants hold the No. 37 overall pick in the second round but lack a third-round selection due to prior trades. They enter Day 2 with opportunities to bolster their roster, particularly along the offensive line, defensive line, or secondary.

Umenyiora's involvement continues a tradition of honoring franchise greats on draft day, connecting past successes with the team's future building blocks.
