The Atlanta Falcons have zero picks tonight, and seem unlikely to get any without trading away a high-end player. That means we’re free to watch what every other team does, find out what the Rams do with Atlanta’s former first rounder, and figure out who is still going to be available when the Falcons pick in the second round.

It’s less thrilling than first rounds in years past, but the Falcons are attempting to leave behind a lot of trade-happy drafts that thinned their depth and led to a series of mediocre seasons. While the players they got with those trades were almost all at least good, we’ve seen the cost of being rash. The Falcons may well consider trading, say, Kyle Pitts, but they won’t be expending draft capital to do so. They’ll be looking to add as much as possible.
