The Philadelphia 76ers are in the process of doing their due diligence in terms of what they can do with the No. 22 pick in the upcoming draft. June 23 is right around the corner and there are a number of different options this front office can look at as they move forward in the process.
The Sixers have some needs that have to be addressed as they move forward into the summer. They could always use help on the glass, help off the bench, and need to figure out a way to fortify the second unit. New President of Basketball Operations Mike Gansey and his staff will undoubtedly turn over every rock as they look to make the right decisions.
A mock draft put together by HoopsHype has the Sixers selecting Houston big man Chris Cenac Jr. who averaged 9.5 points and 7.9 rebounds while shooting 48.5% from the floor. He isn't much of a 3-point shooter, but he can do a lot of different things on the floor. He will be a rotation player right away at the next level.
The Sixers could use another backup big man at this stage of their quest toward winning a championship. Joel Embiid is phenomenal, but the big fella has had issues staying on the floor. Philadelphia should look into Cenac on draft night.
