Giannis Antetokounmpo was ready to sign off on a trade to Boston, but the Celtics refused to give him the three-year max extension he wanted and were only willing to offer two years, per

Yeah, Boston ownership seems very concerned about keeping the salaries at a certain level. I am sure that is part of the reason for the Brown trade, just don't understand why they felt they had to rush to get it done.

Simons for 2 years at 12 million is one hell of a get for Philly. They need him for depth badly.

If they do get Lebron they are going to be very hard to beat.

Something doesn't feel right about the trade. Sort of like when the Mavericks traded Luka to the Lakers.

I hope the Suns looked at Simons.

Free agent guard Tyus Jones has agreed to a one-year deal to return to the Denver Nuggets, sources tell ESPN. Jones played a reserve role after joining Denver on the buyout market last season, and enters his 12th NBA season as his agent Kevin Bradbury of LIFT Sports Management completes an agreement with Nuggets officials.

The Celtics, Pistons, and Rockets discussed a three-team trade that would’ve sent Alperen Sengun to Boston, Kevin Durant to Detroit, and Jaylen Brown to Houston, per
@BrettSiegelNBA

“There were talks about a Kevin Durant trade involving Jaylen Brown and Alperen Sengun… Kevin Durant would’ve gone to the Pistons… The Celtics were gonna get Alperen Sengun and then Jaylen Brown would’ve gone to the Rockets… Ultimately Houston did not want that type of package.”

The Kings will soon waive DeMar DeRozan, if they can’t find a trade.

Only $10 million of DeRozan’s expiring contract is guaranteed, and he would like to be on a contending team before retirement.

DeRozan appears open to signing a veteran’s minimum deal for a title-contender.

The trend in today's NBA is apparent now -- salary reduction across board. Eason got 16m per instead the 20m per he rejected last season. Look at Powell, Wiggins, Collins, THarris, ASimons, etc. All the old contracts look like overpay now, from AGordon, Braun to our GAllen and even RO. The Bridges for GA+RO trade looks very smart now.

LeBron James sweepstakes down to two teams: Golden State and Cleveland https://trib.al/8vRbRol
he should go to Cleveland. Easier Conference where he can make a legit run to the Finals. He's kinda the perfect piece they're missing in that starting lineup and it's a good...ish mix of youth and vets and makes for a good story, ending his career where it began, going for one more run. GS is just early retirement, in a brutal West, with a bunch of old foogies that has zero chance to make any kind of dent in the playoffs..

The only possible reason that he could be considering hooking up with the Warriors that I can imagine is that he's grudging against the Lakers now so much that he thinks he can ruin their division season by teaming up with Steph, etc.

Let's go, Lakers !!

Minus: Lebron James, Luke Kennard

Plus: Walker Kessler, Sandro Mamukelashvili, Quentin Grimes, and Collin Sexton, so far.

You guys can have Sexton, he is the Lord King of tank commanders. You are going to loath him. Teams he play for win, on average, 26 games a year. He's never sniffed the playoffs. He's a shoot first, shoot last and shoot only player who contributes nothing elsewhere.

I would make you give me 2 firsts to take on Paul George - this is beyond a horrific trade for Boston.

This is worse than the Luka deal. Why the hell did the Suns not beat this deal
maybe the $70M commitment, $ that Book is NOWHERE worth.... No one is

Look, I have been saying we should trade him for over a year, but I know it isn't going to happen. Ishbia has made that clear.

But actually if Jalen Brown is an indicator for what he is worth - than maybe we shouldn't.

I think being close to his family would play more of a role.

The problem with Booker is what everyone here keeps saying, they paid him too much. If we feel that way as fans, why would another team want to take that on? Jalen Brown is an indicator of teams not willing to go over and stay in the Aprons.

CBA wise, I am not so sure owners will want to get rid of them. They are doing what they were designed to do. Keep owners from spending too much money. They also are bringing parity to the league. You just can't go out and buy a Championship.

It appears Jonas Valanciunas is still available. I wish the Suns had him on their roster.
