We are diving into some fantasy football content this offseason as we look to bring in all sorts of football fans to Vikings Wire. It is arguably the most popular game that is around football, so not dipping our toes into the proverbial pool wouldn't make sense.
We will start with some rookie profiles, and where they fit into the team landscape they were drafted into. Next up, San Francisco 49ers running back Kaelon Black.
Stat projections are done by ESPN's Mike Clay
San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan can always surprise folks with how he uses running backs. Christian McCaffrey can go down with injuries from time to time, and if Black gets a chance to get meaningful work. He fits into the style of running back he likes, so if anyone can capitalize in his system, it would be him.
Kaelon Black seems to be someone that the 49ers will get some use out of at some point. Whether that is in 2026 remains to be seen, but he could be a potential successor out of the backfield when they move on from Christian McCaffrey.
