I don't see any point in keeping Budda around if you can get some legitimate value for him. We're likely going to be awful whether he plays or not, as has been proven over the last 4 years.

Time to move on IMO

Cardinals RB Jeremiyah Love's 2026 stat odds, per @BetOnline_ag:
- 899.5 rushing yards
- 6.5 touchdowns
- 50.5 catches
- 425.5 receiving yards

I expected a slightly higher number for rushing yards

If Love is as good as advertised, a little over 8 yds per reception seems really low. And I'm just basing that on all the catches Conner got with no one around him. But if we only had someone that would look up Conners stats because I'm too lazy......Hmmm, maybe someone who's name rhymes with HEY NINE....too obvious?

EDIT: I looked it up, Conners reception avg is 7.8 yrds so Love's projected avg is in the ballpark but hopefully low...

I'm not sure if he was arrested or just being investigated. They also talked about other espn people. I don't want to start rumors. Happened in Canada?

owning an Uzi? not an issue. (setting aside fully automatic weapon ownership is highly restricted in the US)

Yeah, I quite clearly didn't agree with your premise. We have 2 players on that list - Sweat and Budda. Neither had any impact on us winning or losing last year, you can put Budda on that list for several years.

Much depends on how you view this team - everything screams that we're in a total rebuild. We have no QB, and one of the worst rosters in the NFL.

I'm neutral on dumping Sweat - if he wants to go, I don't see any point in him sticking around. I don't see any point in keeping Budda around if you can get some legitimate value for him. We're likely going to be awful whether he plays or not, as has been proven over the last 4 years.

Good players have an impact on winning, even if it is not individually. That is the nature of football. 53 man roster. Myles Garrett is a winning player even f your team only wins 5 games with him on the roster. Budda Baker is talented. Josh Sweat is talented. Getting rid of your best players without a reason other than the pursuit of magic beans is how a losing franchise stays a loser.

What do you think you can get for him and how does that help improve the talent of the team? Expecting a 6th round pick to produce the same level of talent as a multiple year al pro and pro bowler is wishing for an extreme outlier scenario.

I don't understand the desire to move on from the teams more talented players when the team lacks talent.

Excuse the spelling, but in the last couple of days I've tuned into the Johnny Venerable and Bo Brack podcast to get ready for the PS. Now, over the years I've met/read/heard many Debbie Downers when it comes to the FB Cardinals, but I'll say that they are the worst. IF AZ ever wins the Super Bowl, and it probably won't happen in my lifetime, but their show will start, "Let's face it Arizona's SB victory was due to how poorly their opponents played. And, before we begin don't forget to hit the Like and Subscribe button."

I guess it depends on what you are looking for? What do you want them to tell you? That a bad team last year got worse in terms of talent and QB play but will be better? That players who were disappointments last year will miraculously be better without any indication that they will? This franchise has earned every pessimistic narrative it is receiving. Why do you feel that equates to them being unreasonably pessismistic?

Jeffrey Simmons is a great DT. The Titans are horrible. You are arguing that he has no impact on winning.

Denzel Ward.
Darnell docket spent more years on a bad team than a good one.
Anquan Boldin was putting up 1000 yard seasons in almost every one of his first 4 seasons but the Cardinals never were above .500. But he wasn't a winning player.

Your argument that NFL players are worth paying or not worth paying based on the outcomes of the prior season seems really ignorant. And what timetable are you talking about? The NFL is based on parity. If having a crappy roster and losing games was a catalyst to long term success, the Cardinals would have run into that by now because it is exactly what it has done over the majority of the franchise's history.

In terms of Budda's trade value, I am interested in why you think he is worth a 2nd round pick. I am also curious why you think Budda and Sweat have exceeding contract demands? The Cardinals are sitting on 33 mil in cap space and don't have any players they seem interested in paying long term. This team is not struggling to retain good players because they have a surplus of good players. The roster is so bad that fans complain that they didn't add more talent in free agency and that the young players they have, haven't earned big contracts. This team is so far from the challenges of operating as a good franchise that it's not worth really discussing.
