For the umpteenth time… Alex Thomas is not a starting MLB player. Love the kid, but he’s a bench-depth guy at best.

Joe Ross and his 19.64 ERA has been designated for assignment by the Arizona Diamondbacks. Last year the team jettisoned Joe Mantiply out after 10 appearances and an ERA of 15.83 - this time just 3 outings to remove a reliever that was not performing.

Strange But True--

RHP Ryne Nelson and RHP Paul Sewald have the same amount of strikeouts (7).

RHP Michael Soroka (13) has recorded 3x as many strikeouts as RHP Zac Gallen (4).

SS Geraldo Perdomo (just 2 SO in 33 AB) but is t-1st in MLB in GIDP with 4.
