manager Torey Lovullo, catcher Gabriel Moreno was scratched tonight with right forearm tightness. Has had it for a few days. Thought he could go tonight but couldn’t. He’s having imaging done now.

Pavin Smith was also scratched for left forearm tightness. He's expected to be down a couple days.

As of now, the #Dbacks have not made any $1m+ commitments to their 2027 international class.

The only signing bonus of note right now is Misael Pangol at $650,000. He is a switch-hitting shortstop prospect who sprays the ball all over the field!

Some data notes on new #Dbacks signing Luis Urías:
- Urías is as patient as can be, only swinging on 59.4% of pitches in the zone
- You can't get a fastball by him. He only whiffs 10.2% of the time against them
- He does the majority of his damage against SL/ST/CU

Juan Morillo absolutely earned his spot on the Diamondbacks’ opening day roster.

8.1 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 8 K in eight games.

The significant reduction in walks is most likely what pushed him over the edge in Arizona’s eyes.

Not ideal for the Diamondbacks to not have a left-handed reliever in the bullpen but the lefties they have just did not get it done in spring training. Brandyn Garcia had one clean inning, walked too many batters. He will go down work on his delivery and try to work his way back - he has great stuff. Having a left-handed reliever who is only good vs left-handed hitters not what it used to be, can't just bring them in for one batter (unless last out of an inning) so unlikely the Dbacks would add a LH reliever (Lucchesi for example) who fares well vs lefties but gets pummeled by righties.
