Ultimately, this probably causes the team to wait until after the season to extend him. No reason to rush and they would have the franchise tag available if they can't agree. I don't see Wilson accepting less than what Pierce and Watson just received and I don't feel like he has a good argument to make 30+ like Garrett Wilson and Nico Collins/

jeezus....that kinda stixx it to us....
the only saving grace is Mike Willy seems to be a rreasonable guy....and he should know that this dude obviously had pictures of his team owner screwing around on his wife with the catcher from the local community college baseball team.

Meh...if the negotiation is Wilson demanding 30 mil and his comps getting 27.5 mil, it makes sense to just wait. That 3 mil isn't a huge difference, the franchise tag is close, and Wilson only have one season of production to negotiate off of. If Wilson isn't demanding 27.5 mil and is under that, I think it is probably dumb to not just give him that deal. Even moreso if the plan is to have a young QB, Beck or 2027 draft pick be the QB for the upcoming future.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see an extension between July and October. Maybe you wait and see how he performs in the first month of the season before cracking open the vault.

On the other hand, you can’t walk into 2027 with MHJ as your top wideout.

Lucky for team Wilson and the Cardinals as this next year extension to a couple of players.

I think Marv Jr has had a rough role of the dice. He and Short stuff really didn't have a connection and Jacoby came in and Marv wasn't there.

I'm a retired professional studio musician. I have toured with major bands with band members on the mend of rehab. I've earned my stripes and offer only incognito. Peace out I love the Cardinals and I'm glad to have met yet online.

Have a good one

agree.
we are not in a situation in which we need to be quibbling with a home grown guy who has worked his way into being one of our better players.
