With cut down day in a week here is a good location to discuss players who are Cut.
QB (if they wanted a 3rd QB)Curious to see if the Cardinals target any players. WR maybe?
OL Id guessCurious to see if the Cardinals target any players. WR maybe?
Basically the thought exercise is take the last player at every position on the roster and ask yourself if you think a significantly better player will be cut. If it's close, the Cardinals probably just stick with their player who knows the system unless the option is younger or it is a player the pro scouting department has had their eye on. Normally teams have some players they liked in the draft process who were taken by other teams, and they have kept an eye on.I think WR is way down on their list. I suspect CB is in play along with the Oline and believe it or not ILB.
What makes you think this staff can develop QBs?
Indy has to eat $10mm in bonus trading Richardson. I like the idea though.
I don't have any reason to believe they can, but I think AR would be a better gauge than Tune. To me it's just a low risk gamble with a chance to gain a decent return. What makes you think this staff can develop QBs?

It's tough to navigate this type of an issue at the QB position. It can lead to a fractured roster very easily.Yeah I don't see Indy giving up completely on Richardson just yet. They have invested too much into him.
I'd take a flyer on Richardson as QB3 for a late round pick, absolutely. That's a zero-risk proposition, but no way Indy would do it.Unless there are other issues, if I am Monti, I am asking what the cost would be for Anthony Richardson. If it is a late round pick, I would make the move and carry three QBs. Sitting behind Kyler and Brissett while being able to focus on fundamentals is an ideal situation for a QB like AR, and in a QB starved league, they might be able to move him for a better asset in the future if they can rehab him a bit. Seems like a buy low situation and he wouldn't be the QB2 which is important for a team that wants to win this year.
Ideally you would use the DBZ fusion technique between Kyler and AR to create your QB of the future, but that is probably against league rules.
So would I, but not on a #4 overall contract.I'd take a flyer on Richardson as QB3 for a late round pick, absolutely. That's a zero-risk proposition, but no way Indy would do it.
It becomes very affordable without the guaranteed money and is only a commitment through 2026 unless an option is picked up.So would I, but not on a #4 overall contract.
EDIT: the colts would actually have to eat the garanteed money
These waiver wire moves are more about scouting, IMO, than picking the biggest name.Niners are desperate for WR help with all of the injuries that they have. With them being higher on the waiver wire than the Cards they will probably poach any decent WR that gets cut before the Cards.
Agree 100%. That is what I meant by decent. But as you say what one team sees as decent may differ significantly from another. These waiver wire moves are more about scouting, IMO, than picking the biggest name.
There are worse - tune still has upsideQB needs to be the #1 target - for the practice squad. I don't think there is a worse QB than Tune that was on any roster, so any pickup will be an improvement.
Maybe a guard, maybe a speed receiver.
Nothing butThere are worse - tune still has upside
Broncos #3 outside CB for the last two seasons, Mathis, looks to have been surplanted on the DC. He’s a potential add for the 53 if cutIf the team brings anyone here for injury replacements I'd think it would be guys like Jackson Barton or Charlie Heck who know the scheme. Easy PS adds.
I'm totally not mad at this idea. He needs a change of scenery....BADLY!Unless there are other issues, if I am Monti, I am asking what the cost would be for Anthony Richardson.
