Obviously they felt they needed to load up on pitching prospects.
We could even get a couple of half pints for Gallen.
Good for him.Shelby Miller to Brewers.
Shelby Miller to Brewers.
And apparently Jordan Montgomery is going to the Brewers as wellCalled that he would be traded.
I am more disappointed that Lourdes is still here over Gallen.
Hazen wasn't gonna give him away and pay any part of that $14 million.Called that he would be traded.
I am more disappointed that Lourdes is still here over Gallen.
Miller pitched well so far this year - he had value to a competitive team.Called that he would be traded.
I am more disappointed that Lourdes is still here over Gallen.
Ow that's a shocker. And apparently Jordan Montgomery is going to the Brewers as well
I bet it was a salary dump. Basically you get Miller, but have to take Montgomery, too. Dbacks probably get very little, if anything in return. And apparently Jordan Montgomery is going to the Brewers as well
Correct - 100% salary dumpI bet it was a salary dump. Basically you get Miller, but have to take Montgomery, too. Dbacks probably get very little, if anything in return.
Totally worth it - instead of an injured/ineffective Montgomery, you free up resources to get more pitching. Acquiring minor league talent through the other trades will also beef up our pretty mediocre farm system. Hazen makes sense.Looks like nothing back for Miller and Montgomery - just salary dump
Dude, that commercial. Im not saying he has to be a body builder, but..... he has noodle arms, I don't think he takes working out to serious.Trade Gallen for some Shamrock protein drinks
Boy Dbacks really luv them some Tommy John....This from a Texas Rangers message board, https://www.lonestarball.com/2025/7...s-rangers-trade-arizona-diamondbacks#comments
UPDATE — Pitchers Kohl Drake and David Hagaman are reportedly going to Arizona in this deal. Drake is a 24 year old lefthander who was recently promoted to AAA Round Rock, and who was expected to be added to the 40 man roster this winter. Hagaman was the Rangers’ 4th round pick out of the University of West Virginia last year, and who was one of the pitchers who was recovering from Tommy John surgery when he was selected and so has only recently resumed pitching in game action.
UPDATE II — Lefthanded pitcher Mitch Bratt is the third player going in the deal, per reports. Bratt has had a very nice season at Frisco, and like Drake, was expected to be added to the 40 man roster this winter.
That is pretty standard for MLB teams now - 37% of all pitchers have had it.Boy Dbacks really luv them some Tommy John....
A pint or two of Guinness Stout and a bucket of balls for Gallen. Now that he's sticking around until the end of the season, expect the suckicity to continue. We could even get a couple of half pints for Gallen.
