The Chicago Bears came into Day 2 of the 2025 NFL draft ready to make a splash, and it didn't take long for general manager Ryan Poles to make a move.

After selecting Michigan tight end Colston Loveland with the 10th overall pick in the first round, the Bears added another weapon for second-year quarterback Caleb Williams with Missouri wide receiver Luther Burden III at 39th overall. Burden is one of the most explosive players in this draft class, and head coach Ben Johnson will find ways to utilize his playmaking ability.

Shortly after landing Burden, Chicago traded back from No. 41 with the Buffalo Bills and racked up some additional draft capital, including an additional second rounder. Here's a rundown:

Trade details

  • Bears receive: Nos. 56 (second round), 62 (second round), 109 (fourth round)
  • Bills receive: Nos. 41 (second round), 72 (third round), 240 (seventh round)

Bears' updated draft picks

  • Round 1: No. 10 (TE Colston Loveland)
  • Round 2: Nos. 39 (WR Luther Burden III), 56 (from BUF), 62 (from BUF)
  • Round 3: None
  • Round 4: No. 109 (from BUF)
  • Round 5: No. 148
  • Round 6: None
  • Round 7: No. 233 (from CIN)
