Burke has top notch ball skills and understands how to get the most out of his skillset. They just have to be careful. If he gets isolated on an island with a fast receiver, he either takes the penalty or gets beat. However when he can play in zone he’s really talented.

Are any of our cornerbacks good in man to man coverage?

I was really liking the Burke pick as I have stated. But, if history repeats itself, he'll have a down year next year. It seems he plays well every other year. Very weird.

Just want to bump this thread. This is a win if he continues to play well.
It's a win like Kei'trel Clark was a win at this point. Burke isn't "good" but he was a 5th round pick and is battling while eating up snaps due to injuries. He's what Elijah Jones was supposed to be. Who was drafted to replace Kei'trel Clark.

Basically Monti used two 5ths, a 7th, and a 3rd to find a CB 3/4.

I dont disagree. Hes a 5th round pick so getting this type of output is a win IMO.

What do those other picks have to do with Burke?

Can’t agree “Burke isn’t good.” Like many players he has limitations. Unlike many of the Cards’ CBs, he understands how to play zone. He quickly moves to receivers entering his zone. He closes gaps and he’s one of the best tacklers on the team. He has solid ball skills. Where he lacks is covering speed receivers. He’d be even more useful if the Cards had a safety who knew how to cover over the top.
