Stars GM Jim Nill says Mikko Rantanen will join the team full-time for practice going forward and will travel with the team during the upcoming 4-game road trip.The hope is for Rantanen to return to play by the last two games of the trip.
As long as it’s not against the islanders. Patrick Roy most likely has a bounty on him.
But watching the stars over the last week, they are desperate to have him back. Hintz too.

Penguins GM Kyle Dubas has confirmed that veteran defenceman Erik Karlsson will not be traded this summer.
While Karlsson remains signed through next year at a cap hit of $10 million, he is owed a $6 million signing bonus on July 1 of this year and just $1.5 million in remaining salary beyond that.

desmith was awesome last game, but they definitely missed Myers. he's made an instant impact and has even helped offensively. glad they are resting him on back to backs. they need to start doing that from here on out with all their players to some degree.

Three weeks to go in the NHL's regular season, which wraps up Thursday, April 16.
The NHL is still working on next season's schedule but my understanding currently is that the regular season will drop the puck on Sept. 29 and wrap up April 10.
Subject to change, but that's the current plan. And as per new CBA, going to 84 games per team.

The loss of Rantanen and Hintz is now a major issue.
It's not just the loss of the two forwards but also the effect it has on special teams and depth scoring.

yeah there's no 2nd power play unit now. and the depth guys have been up on the top 2 lines swinging above their weight. they look gassed all the time now at the end of games. I'm worried about Hintz who is still not skating. I'd be surprised if he's back in the first round of the playoffs. but I hope that he is. Rantanen probably will play soon and will be a massive lift especially on the power play. Rantanen was top 10 in points for a long time this season, a lot closer to top 5.
