News: Reuben Bain was cited for careless driving after a March 2024 crash in Miami that left a passenger in a coma. That passenger, a 22-year-old student, died three months later. NFL teams are aware and investigating, per sources.

Miami DE Reuben Bain was cited for careless driving following a March 2024 crash that left a passenger in a coma and later resulted in the 22-year-old’s death three months after the incident, as reported by

.

The careless driving charge was dismissed by a court about two weeks before the death, and no criminal liability has been found in connection with the crash.

The situation has been discussed in NFL circles in recent weeks, and teams are aware of it and have looked into it.

How in the world is this 2 year old case breaking news? They dont say the speed either car was driving at or if either driver was intoxicated.

Apparently he was driving under the speed limit and wasnt intoxicated. The person who was hurt, and later died wasn't wearing a seatbelt. The other 3 passengers were fine.

Drew Fabianich on Arizona State OL Maxwell Iheanachor:“Max came to Mobile as a third-round guy and left in the first-round conversation. He’s got really good length and athletic ability, and uses his hands well. He didn’t give up a sack this year, and there’s still a ton of upside and potential there with how new he is to the game.”

Penn State alum A.Q. Shipley told me Nittany Lions QB Drew Allar is raw, but has some intriguing qualities:"Drew’s got all the traits. He’s big as heck. I was an honorary captain at the Fiesta Bowl, and standing next to him on the sideline, he looks like Carson Palmer."

Former LSU QB Garrett Nussmeier underwent tests at the NFL combine that revealed a cyst on his spine — the root cause of the persistent oblique pain that derailed his 2025 season, sources say.

The cyst was pressing on a nerve, causing discomfort in Nussmeier’s oblique. He has been asymptomatic since just prior to the Senior Bowl and all throughout the draft process; if that changes down the road, Nussmeier could undergo a minimally invasive procedure and miss just 2-3 weeks while stitches heal.

Either way, doctors say, there is no short- or long-term risk for Nussmeier, who is projected a mid-round pick in this week’s NFL Draft.

NEWS: NFL teams received a letter today about Caleb Banks as he recovers from a surgically repaired bone in his left foot. Per ESPN sources, the letter states that after a CT scan on Tuesday that Banks is “on pace to be fully cleared for full football activities in early June.”

They can fix that outpatient. Lots of cool new procedures for spine issues these days.
