Great news, since they can do it directly with the Bulls without including the Suns and Jimmy Butler.

LaVine has a 15% trade kicker and the Bucks want to move Pat Connaughton, so the thinking seems to be, it will take more teams to get a deal done.

I'd be happy if the Suns could add a couple of 4/5 type players and roll with that, especially if they could keep their first round picks.

A few days ago, i think, Vince Carter's jersey was retired - again. This time for the Nets.

Am I the only one who feels like the Net's jersey retirement was not deserved?

Second, imo, he's overrated, and to get two jersey retirements??? Cmon.

I meant to post this here instead of the Suns discussion thread.

The Kings may look to shop De'Aaron Fox.

So you're saying you don't want him in the Suns Ring of Honor?

He's going to end up in Houston. They have a lot of young talent, valuable picks, expiring or reasonable contracts, and are a strong scorer away from being legit contenders. Fox is who they've been holding out for since the Butler fiasco started. They've reportedly been eyeing Fox or Book, whoever was available first.

Fox had the best clutch stats for a PG the last couple of years. He could make a big leap on a team like Houston with a good supporting cast and coach.

Definitely underserved. I never think of Vince as a Net and he was on a few decent teams in New Jersey but that didn't last all that long. Vince was a Raptor. I have to wonder if Kenyon Martin or Richard Jefferson weren't available this season. Both more deserving from an outside perspective.

Lakers. Sixers.

WTH is reddick thinking inserting Bronny in while they’re down big at the end of the third. He does absolutely nothing when he’s out there except pass to daddy.

Kind of answered your own question. If Reddick can't appease LeBron with wins he does so with playing time for Bronny. Reddick's job is making LeBron happy above all else.

Too bad they can't keep it together in Sacramento. They have been competetive some seasons with Fox, Sabonis & co.

Anthony Davis of the Lakers is currently out with an abdominal muscle strain.

Adam Silver suggests the NBA could shorten games to four, ten-minute quarters:

“As we get more involved in global basketball, the NBA is the only league that plays 48 minutes,” Silver said. “I am a fan of four 10-minute quarters. I’m not sure how many others are, and putting aside what it means for records and things like that, I think that a two-hour format for a game is more consistent with modern television habits.”

When I first read this, I thought this might be a move to help reduce injuries rather than a concern over television viewing habits.

The length of games is near the bottom of problems the league has... in fact, I would say it's not a problem.

The AMOUNT of games is, the back to backs are, the absurd salary structure and inane use of a tax instead of having a hard cap... but the league doesn't want to fix those problems because that would mean they make less money.

I lean towards a coin flip at the start of the game to determine the winner. That way, with introductions and post flip commentary you can fit it into the ever popular 30 minute TV window.
