This one from 2019 was insanity and worth the 6 minutes

The most recent was a bit more muted and in daylight, but first could minutes have supporter creativity

I missed the game right up until the moment the goal was scored...literally turned it on and, a few seconds later, France scored. Good show!

Kane dove a few times, and the ref even managed to not give one as a foul, and he choked on his big chance, so that's nice. And, hey, England could've had a goal right after France, if only they had a right back who could take free kicks hehe

2 things about that penalty. First why did the ref need a VAR to call that? It was obvious live and he was in a good position. The other is Kane just choked.

England were the better side for much of this game, but Kane missed a great chance in the run of play and on the penalty. Maguire also missed an uncontested header and got beat by giroud on the 2nd goal.

If only England had a set-piece specialist in the squad who could've taken that last free kick. You mean that's not Kyle Walker?

In reality, England mauled France for most of what I watched. They just couldn't finish. After the penalty miss, they didn't want to get on with things and whined and flopped sooo much. I at first thought the penalty was a massive flop worthy of a card because he went down so easily, but in replay, it was pretty clear why he went down. Clear penalty.

The goat is Kane. My word, missing a sitter and blazing a penalty over the bar. That's England winning in full time. Add in how allergic Deschamps is to playing progressively with a lead, and this should've been an England win.

Oh well. My bets are still on, though I wouldn't mind losing them at all if it gets Morocco into the final. That would be something. How about a Morocco/Croatia final? Bust all them brackets lol

France were so poor in defending, and that was a blunder by Hernandez. I don't know how that even got to VAR. the focus will be on the missed penalty, but England missed a lot of chances in the run of play and could not score.

yeah this reminded me a little of the France/Belgium match 4 years ago. France only needed a couple of moments of quality to make England pay. Clearly Mbappe is the best player in this tournament, he caused concern from England that made some space for some of France's other players. England were dominant all over the park, but it doesn't matter if you don't score goals.

Croatia, it's time to stop considering them underdogs. IDK why that's even a thing, all they do is dominate in World Cup and they have world class players playing all over Europe in the very top squads. I do hope they beat Argentina, but Messi has a lot of influence over this tournament.

Anyone notice Belichek wearing a Croatian flag patch on the sideline for last nights Cardinals debacle? Guess he has a rooting interest in todays match.

2-0 Argentina, Croatia was in control the first 20 minutes or so then Argentina woke up.

Argentina is pressuring the ball like crazy. Croatia is going to need to space out the field more in order to create some chances on goal.

Argentina is just too talented for Croatia, and they're playing with great rhythm. France vs Arg will be a great WCF

Morocco simply couldn't finish and France could.

This is the first time I've watched Mbappe play (and paid attention), man he's good.

Eh, maybe not a popular opinion, but I'm not too excited for an Argentina - France final. I would have much preferred at least one upstart in there, so bummer about Morocco losing.

Interesting. He still isn't a complete player, especially on the defensive side. Even still he is the best player in the world and it isn't close.

Well, he hasn't needed to play defense in this world cup until this game. But as far as a pure offensive player, he reminds me a little bit of Messi from 10 years ago. Doesn't have the craftiness with the ball at his feet, but his speed and ability to turn is unreal.

Mbappe reminds me of young Thierry Henry, I think Henry was better in the air but Mbappe is stronger on the ball.

I think the final will be awesome, last chance for Messi and France trying to repeat.

I think it'll be a great final match. I hope ARG can take it so Messi can get his WC and cement himself as the best player to have played the game.

I can see that and I agree. The ball sticks to Messi's feet better than anyone ever.

I want Messi to win, but I really don't like the ARG team.
