I know. but we have about 96 minutes for all guards. 5 is too many players to divide that between.

I'm just saying Caruso would not be happy sitting on the bench, so I really think he is the Cam Payne backup plan.

Caruso is being mentioned as a backup plan to Cam Payne as in if Payne doesn’t sign with us they would bring in Caruso

not Caruso is going to the back up to the back up on the roster

He didn't. I have been over this before.

Jones's moves have been a slight net negative since he took over in my book.

The main reason the team started winning, is our draft picks made before Jones took over started progressing, Monty Williams coaching, and Chris Paul seeing this as his best available landing spot.

Jones actual best move is just signing Jae Crowder.

didn’t Jones hire Monty and trade for Chris Paul?

Traded Ariza’s corpse for Oubre
Moved Warren and Josh Jackson which allowed growth for Bridges
Hired Monty
Drafted Cam
Signed Rubio
Traded for Dario
Signed Cam Payne
Flipped Rubio and Oubre for CP (regardless of whether or not Paul wanted this to be his destination of choice that’s a big deal)
Singed Jae
Traded nothing to get Torrey Craig
Has brought stability to a terrible front office.
Suns made the playoffs for the first time 11 years and finals for the first time in 28 years.

How is that a net negative?

He might have helped get Monty signed, but I actually give Sarver just as much credit for that.

I give him no credit for Paul. He gave up a 1st round pick he did not have to in that trade, Paul wanted to come here, and had no other viable options.

Let’s look at team:

book - mcd
Ayton - mcd
Bridges - mcd

Monty- jones
Paul - jones
Crowder - jones
Cam Johnson - jones
Payne - jones
Saric - jones
Craig - jones
Nader - jones
Shamet - jones
Stix - jones
Frank - jones

no doubt the first pillars are key to this season. But they weren’t doing what the suns did this season without jones’ actions.

I just don't understand the dislike for Jones among a small group of people here. Dude literally took the team from 19 wins to the finals in two years. He is officially the current executive of the year. What else do you people want? He did more in two years than what was done the previous 10 years. Good Lord, some people are just impossible to please.

How is that a net negative?

Warren and Josh Jackson trades were horrible. Gave up Melton and draft picks for no good reason whatsoever

Oubre deal was total luck, he was not the intended target.

Cam Johnson pick was a good pick, but there were other players just as good also available. Not a great pick.

Deal for Baynes and Ty Jerome pick was awful. Could have just resigned Holmes for 5 million a year.

Cam Payne was signed by Monte - Jones had nothing to do with it.

Re Sign of Dario at full mid level was an overpay - period.

Torrey Craig was a good deal.

Jae was a good deal.

Drafting of Jalen Smith over Halliburton was abysmal.

No attempt whatsoever to get a big man at the deadline despite a glaring need.

No signing of undrafted free agents to even fill our second 2 way spot.

Splitting the MLE might give the Suns more flexibility to add depth if they can't land a top free agent.

For example, two $5 million contracts and the BAE could go a long ways if teams overspend.

Players always get left out.

Simply a lot factually incorrect here.

There goes Daniel Theis. He was a player I really liked.
