ARZ needs to beat these sub .500 teams as there is little margin for error in this year's playoff race. September is going to be rough with only SD as the only team we play that is not in the playoff race. ARZ needs to control there own destiny and not in the hands of other teams.

There are an astonishing 11 teams, all bunched within 7 games of one another, fighting for a post season birth in the NL...
If the Dbacks could’ve taken care of business these past two games, they’d could’ve created a little breathing room between them and LA... instead, their offense has disappeared and the pen is leaking serious oil down the stretch.. Letting teams like Colorado, St Louis, Pittsburgh, Washington and even the Giants, remain very much alive and a very real threat to the Dbacks’ post season chances...

Crazy. 4 runs in the 9th and they will probably lose this one to. Dbacks have had so many opportunities to get several games ahead of the Dodgers but they just can't.

The NL West has become a complete Suck-Fest... Hell, the lowly Giants are now only 5 games out of first and it seems a certainty now that only the winner of the West will make the post season as the second place team will suck too much to be even the second Wild Card...
Still hard to believe LA won’t ultimately figure things out and become the best of the worst... or Colorado. But I guess it will likely be a battle of buffoons through September... If I were a betting man, the money would have to be placed as follows:
