I wonder what Pollock's value is? CHW are starting their re-build off right acquiring 4 pitching prospects and one of the top positional prospects in the minor leagues for Sale & Eaton.

Yeah, that number should come down as WAS is reportedly moving him to CF where he was below average.

Depends on the metrics you use. Some have him above average. Regardless, he's a huge upgrade to Turner in CF (and allows Turner to go back to SS).

Eaton has an incredibly reasonable contract and he's two years younger than McCutchen.

Eaton has sported a 3.9 WAR/600 PA, McCutchen a 4.0 WAR.

We've heard things here and there about a possible extension in the past, but most of the time the discussion ends with Arrieta seeming pretty confident in betting on himself.

The Cubs are still not done adding to their bullpen even after acquiring Wade Davisfrom the Royals.

According to a report by Nikkan Sports, and corroborated by Evan Drellich of the Boston Herald, the Cubbies are close to signing veteran right-hander Koji Uehara. The deal is not final and the contract terms are still unknown.

The way these salaries are inflating ARZ will never be players in FA. Hell, Greinke's deal will need to be addressed soon as it could cost ARZ Goldschmidt unless the plan is to completely rebuild and trade him for a big package of prospects.
