EAST

(1) Chicago vs. (8) Indiana
(2) Miami vs. (7) Philadelphia
(3) Boston vs. (6) New York
(4) Orlando vs. (5) Atlanta

WEST

(1) San Antonio vs. (8) Memphis
(2) Los Angeles vs. (7) New Orleans
(3) Dallas vs. (6) Portland
(4) Oklahoma City vs. (5) Denver

Don't think I will watch many games, but as always I'm rooting for upsets whenever the Suns aren't involved. Right now Pacers leading Chicago late in the game.

In the West, these are the matchups that intrigue me.

(3) Dallas vs. (6) Portland
(4) Oklahoma City vs. (5) Denver

Anything could happen.

yeah. those two are good ones. I even think SA-Memphis will be fun to watch because ginobli is out. they don't do well when he's gone(or any of the big 3). that should even it out in that one. I wonder when he comes back.

Portland can beat dallas. we are going to see how tough, or weak, dallas is right out of the gate. they probably had the toughest draw of the top 4 teams, but it can easily be argued that denver can win a first round series as well. Portland beating dallas would not be a major upset. they have a superstar and a deep team. Denver is the team in my mind that could make a true upset. Not many picking OKC to lose out to them in the first round, but I think it is very possible. that would be my upset pick.

So far so good. Chicago was very fortunate to win at home and philly is winning early in miami.

I think this is going to be the best playoffs we've seen in a long time. I can't remember a year when we've had so many reasons to watch every first round matchup. there are a lot of good teams out there. and no team IMO has clearly seperated themselves from the rest of the league. It goes to LAL by default, but they even they are licking wounds right now.

Ok maybe not philly/miami. they are just watching james and wade run down the court and make layups.

Good luck to your Mavs. I must say it is difficult for a Suns fan to be on the outside looking in.

yeah I was thinking the same thing earlier. I can't believe that the other day when the mavs played the suns I went to sleep. just a few years ago i wouldn't take money to miss that matchup. Not trying to disrespect the suns, but there was nothing exciting about the way the mavs were playing to end this season either. I hope they turned a corner with that last game against the hornets. they seemed to finally wake up and play well in all phases for once. we will see. portland will be very tough. about as tough as the spurs matchup last season. and we all know what happened then.

I hope the suns keep nash and get another star player around him. the suns have always seemed to find a way to be a good team. I never have been a fan of unloading your team of your star players in order to plan for the future. that never makes sense. only bad teams(or irrelevant ones) should take that approach. I'd rather see the suns keep nash and develop around him. I hope the mavs do the same with dirk even if he never wins the big one.

.

I don't think Manu is out for certain even in game 1. He did shooting drills today and Parker said he was sure Manu would play tomorrow. Even if Pop stops him from playing in game 1 he should be back for game 2.

well that is good news for the spurs then. hopefully he is 100% or they will be in trouble. that was a nasty looking fall.

Chicago almost pulled off an upset today. Philly in a close on right now.

great shot by wade. wade is a closer because he can make tough shots. Idk why they can't just give him the ball more in those situations.

yep. miami struggling to make shots down the stretch. I think dwade is the guy that needs the ball in his hand. lbj is a better facillitator, but no one seems to knock down open looks. wade is a better shooter with a hand in his face than when he sets his feet. kind of weird.

Wade is good but that clearly an offensive foul in the end when he used his legs to push off Thaddeous Young for the and-1.

Talking about Thaddeous Young, he's Jared Dudley 2.0 with a lot more athleticism! Kid carried Philly the entire 4th QTR.

it's just perplexing to me how lebron james is supposed to be the best player in the league hands down, but the guy cannot make a jump shot when it counts most. it's like he is completely snake bitten in the 4th qtr. he really needs to develop some kind of post game.

might have been. he gets to the line a lot from initiating contact(trust me I know). it was a nice shot though.

Duncan will be huge in that series cause he's the only one that can even remotely slow down Z-Bo.

Should be a close series but I'm predicting that Memphis pulls off an upset.

Some amazing performances today. Dirk clutch in the fourth quarter and Howard with 46 and 19! I still try to watch a lot of games, even with Phoenix not in. While I cannot barrack for Phoenix, I can still be against the Lakers. :)

Is barrack the new word for root? :D I'm kidding of course. I know what the definition is :)

If J-Rich keeps playing like he played yesterday, we might be able to sign him cheap this summer. He looked worse than Vince Carter.

I was impressed too, Dallas have grown some cohonies, thanks to players like Chandler.

It was painful to watch; 4pts and Turks with 6pts. Where is Vellasco to come up with why Hedo did not play well? :).

You know Hawks game plan is not going to work next game though, look for JRich to have a good game.

The Spurs will have to play outta their mind to win this series. I think Grizzlies win it or Spurs win in 7
