The Los Angeles Rams will have some interesting decisions to make in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

With the No. 26 pick, they're in prime position to move up or down the board depending on which players become available.

If general manager Les Snead sees a player he covets slide, he could pounce on him with a tactical trade to an earlier pick. But if there isn't anyone the team likes with the pick, Snead could move back and accrue more picks. The easiest path, though, is to stand pat if a player the team wants is there for them at No. 26.

The Rams have been no stranger to draft trades. Just last year, Snead sent the No. 52 pick in 2024 and what ended up being the No. 57 pick in 2025 to the Carolina Panthers to move up to No. 39 for defensive lineman Braden Fiske. That worked out well for them after Fiske finished with 8.5 sacks during his rookie season.

In lieu of a traditional one, ESPN's Bill Barnwell created an all-trade mock draft that would capture what it would take for certain teams to move up or down at certain spots in the first round.

Here are two hypothetical trades from Barnwell's story:

Trade 1: Rams trade up from No. 26 to No. 20 for QB Ole Miss Jaxson Dart

A team typically only moves up in the first round to grab a quarterback, and that's what the Rams do in this scenario.

L.A. would give up the No. 90 pick in addition to their first-round selection. The reason for this, per Barnwell, is to get ahead of the Pittsburgh Steelers' No. 21 pick. The Steelers don't have a plan at quarterback unless they're comfortable and able to sign Aaron Rodgers. Even still, Dart seems like a prime prospect to sit behind a starter for a year or two, which he would with the Rams with Matthew Stafford in front of him.

Trade 2: Rams out of the 1st round, pick up extra 2nd and 3rd

Here, the Rams don't see any players they like with the No. 26 pick and instead make a trade with the Chicago Bears to move out of the first round and into the second round.

L.A. would trade Nos. 26 and 190 to Chicago for Nos. 39 and 72. This would give the Rams an early second-round pick (the seventh selection in the round) and another third-rounder (they already have Nos. 90 and 101) to shore up positions of need like linebacker, cornerback, offensive line and/or receiver.
