Chelsea’s players are not listening to head coach Liam Rosenior and don’t trust him according to former Blue John Obi Mikel.

Rosenior replaced Enzo Maresca in January, and signed a six and half year contract at Stamford Bridge, although there’s understood to be a break clause.

The 41-year-old made a good start to his tenure, but the wheels have very much fallen off in recent weeks, and he’s coming under increased pressure.

Chelsea have lost their last four games in a row in all competitions, and it’s not just the defeats but the manner of them.

The Blues haven’t scored in their last three games, whilst in the second leg against PSG and the defeat to Everton it looked like the players lacked belief.

Chelsea appear to still be backing Rosenior, but Matt Law feels the players don’t believe in his tactics, with Mikel echoing that sentiment.

“There is no cohesion, there is no chemistry, there is no trust between Liam Rosenior and his players,” he told The Obi One Podcast.

“I see him, and it’s like the players are not listening to him.”

Chelsea have managed just one clean sheet in their last 15 games, and whatever Rosenior is trying to get across isn’t working, and it’s evident the players don’t believe in it.
