‘I’m joking’ – Isaac Rochell gives Justin Herbert a new nickname after engagement to Madison Beer

NFL star Justin Herbert has been gaining a lot of media attention this week after he confirmed he is engaged to Madison Beer.

Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh has spoken about the pair and mentioned ‘the way he [Justin] lights up when he talks about it’.

The pair have even been seen together at an LA Chargers training camp after the engagement announcement.

Now, former NFL player Isaac Rochell has been joking about Herbert following the news in a post he shared on Instagram.

Isaac Rochell nicknames Justin Herbert ‘Mr Beer’​

Rochell has recently been interviewing Chargers players, including Justin.

After doing so, he took to Instagram to share a photo of himself with Herbert and jokingly wrote ‘Meet Mr Beer’ at the beginning of his caption before adding ‘I’m joking, I’m joking’ in brackets.

Rochell’s full post reads: “Meet Mr Beer. (I’m joking, I’m joking.)

“The last time we were on the same football field, I was getting stiff-armed by this dude… so this was a much better experience.

“What an awesome opportunity with @siriusxmnflradio to head back to my alma mater and interview players right where I retired as a Charger.

“I’ve said it before, but my time with the Chargers was the highlight of my NFL career. The Spanos family has always welcomed me with open arms, and I’ll never take that for granted.

“It’s pretty surreal when your work, your personal life, and your football journey all come together in moments like this. I’m incredibly thankful for every opportunity I’ve been given and forever grateful to SiriusXM for letting me stay connected to the game I love.”

As pre-season training continues, Justin is next expected to return to action later this month when the Chargers face the Houston Texans in a friendly on August 13.

Given that Beer has already been spotted at the training camp with her fiancé, perhaps she will be in attendance for that game, though nothing has been confirmed at this stage.
