A.J. Brown’s departure from the Philadelphia Eagles has caused quite the stir as he speaks out as a New England Patriot.
The Eagles received a healthy return for the 29-year-old wide receiver earlier in the offseason following months of frustration from Brown.
Even though all parties ended up satisfied with the transaction, the offensive weapon is still frustrating Eagles fans following his exit.
The Eagles and the Patriots do play each other in preseason, but the chances of seeing Brown play are slim given the risk of a needless injury.
Despite playing in Philadelphia for four years, Brown’s reputation with a number of Eagles fans has deteriorated recently.
His latest comments have done him no favors of winning that support back.

A.J. Brown weighs in on NFL’s best cornerback debate
There is always a debate over which player is the NFL’s best in a specific position.
There are plenty of brilliant cornerbacks to choose from and Brown has come up against most of them during his career.
Despite previously playing with Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean, Brown chose not to name either of them as his top CB in the league.
Instead, Brown named Christian Gonzalez and Patrick Surtain II as his top two backs.
“I think he’s [Christian Gonzalez] right there. I think they’re 1A and 1B,” Brown told Kay Adams.
“Pat, of course it’s nothing but love and respect. He’s [Gonzalez] very poised, man. He’s very patient. Sometimes I try to leave him in his patience because he’s just going to sit there and be patient. He trusts his speed, and obviously he has great ball skills as well. Great feet and all – he has the whole package.”
Philadelphia fans furious with Brown snubbing Eagles cornerbacks
Brown did offer Mitchell some praise, but he did completely ignore DeJean during the interview.
Some Eagles fans were left disappointed by Brown not placing Mitchell in the same category as Gonzalez and Surtain.
‘Keep talking Old head ya washed,’ said one Eagles fan on X.
‘#27 is way better,’ replied another.
Gonzalez is expected to become the highest-paid CB in NFL history at some point during this offseason.
Another Eagles fan added: ‘How did the Eagles do such a good job at “containing” him? This is crazy work’.
‘He was the drama,’ said an Eagles fan, who clearly feels Brown is trying to stir the pot.
One Eagles fan had Mitchell’s back in the comments: ‘Not sure if buddy could even get 25 yards on Q’.
‘He’s so corny,’ said another frustrated Eagles fan.
With the two sides meeting in a matter of weeks, one Eagles fan warned Brown: ‘Quinyon gonna have on clamps again in a few weeks’.
