‘He’s going to have to suffer against Lamine Yamal’ – Dani Olmo warns Marc Cucurella after Real Madrid move

Barcelona star Dani Olmo has sent a warning to Marc Cucurella after the defender completed a summer transfer to Real Madrid.

The former Barcelona defender has signed a six-year deal with Los Blancos, and Olmo admits the transfer came as a surprise.

“We didn’t expect it,” he told Sport. “He kept it inside, if that’s what he wanted, I’m happy for him because he’s my friend, now he’s going to have to suffer in the league and so will we. He’s going to have to suffer against Lamine, for example.”

Olmo was also asked about Real Madrid’s transfer activity and insisted he’s not concerned by their summer business.

“It’s normal that after two years without a win they are reinforced, they are world-class players, but we are not worried,” he added. “We have made a great signing with Gordon and we are happy.”

Real Madrid have also landed Bernardo Silva and Ibrahima Konate and are also expected to complete a transfer for Denzel Dumfries. Barcelona, meanwhile, have signed Anthony Gordon and are continuing to chase after Julian Alvarez.
