Tight end Zach Ertz is trying to make his NFL comeback, but his latest workout clip had fans focusing on a legendary quarterback, and not him.
At 35 years of age, Zach Ertz is coming off of an ACL injury and isn’t signed to an NFL team. However, this hasn’t stopped him from putting in work.
The 3-time Pro Bowler was with the Washington Commanders in 2025, but after his 1-year deal expired, is still looking for a new franchise. And to aid in that effort, he’s been doing some workouts.
His latest clip went viral too, but it didn’t have too much to do with Ertz. Working out with his former college teammate Andrew Luck, it was the Colts legend that caught the eye of fans on social media.

NFL fans want a franchise to somehow bring Andrew Luck back
Luck has been retired from the league since 2019. A legendary quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts, he made four Pro Bowls and led the NFL in passing touchdowns in 2014.
Naturally, there are many that admire his game. It was considered a tragedy when he was forced to retire early due to injuries. But after watching him sling the football in the Ertz video, many fans want him to try again.
“Keep the friggin camera on 12 I wanna see if he’s still got it,” one fan wrote. “If Andrew came back to a different team I’m riding with him like Cash follows LeBron,” another fan said.
“If Luck’s still got an arm, maybe the Eagles should start drafting quarterbacks again,” claimed a third fan. “Don’t do this to me, I cried when Luck retired,” someone else wrote.
“Tom Brady retired at 45, Andrew Luck is 36. I’m just throwing numbers out there,” said a fifth fan. Another person posted saying, “Luck dropping 35 yard dimes like he never left, time to come back?”
Luck is obviously the GM of the Stanford Cardinal, and his playing days are behind him. Watching him throw the ball around, though, is a reminder of just how special the former Colts quarterback was.
