    For what its worth, Keith Law's projections this morning have The Dbacks taking Bauer at 3, but with Archie Bradley jumping into the top 6, Hultzen slipping all the way to 7. Would be a real dream scenario.

    Was looking at some advanced statistics for fantasy purposes this morning and saw something interesting. The Dbacks are the best fastball hitting team in the Majors, and significantly so, above teams like the Yankees and Rangers.

    IMO, Locker is the 3rd best pro prospect in the Pac-10. I think he's been overrated because of his athleticism which is pretty far down the list of makes a great NFL QB.

    Allen had been playing LF earlier this season. The current 3B coach was formerly the roving OF instructor for the organization, and I recall hearing/reading that Allen was doing ok out there. Allen was a pretty decent football player as a high schooler.

    I believe Johnson still has an arbitration year. Even with the raise he has earned this year, I'd imagine someone would have to overpay for him. Especially without an obvious replacement.

    Minor League Talent

    17 year old Mateo Wagner, ironically enough, has been showing pretty advanced plate discipline for his age. Encouraging given the physical gifts. I totally agree with the OP though. In the last 14 months, the talent level throughout the system has risen dramatically.

    Those guys are only in the deal to send additional salary back to the dbacks although Church is a decent 4th/5th outfielder.

    Lots of casualties in any regime change, even if it is coming from within. The Aug. 3rd date is significant as that is the day Nikias becomes president.

    Suns use second half run to claim first win of Summer League

    They looked better - much better yesterday. Part of that is due to lower competition, but part of it was due to Scottie Reynolds. He just knows how to be a PG and a leader. Still don't think he has the athleticism to play a lot at the NBA level, but I was impressed by his play.
