Devin Booker will re-evaluated in one week (hip strain)

The Lakers, in comparison, have only 3 sets of back to back games through the rest of their schedule, and one of the b2b's has a 2 day rest in front of it. Going to be tough to catch...

Devin Booker will re-evaluated in one week (hip strain)

Hope everyone gets a chance to recuperate during this long break because it's getting rough. There's a 3 games in 4 nights home stretch after this away game, followed by a lengthy road trip with two separate 3 in 4nights, followed by a 3 in 4 when they get home. Phoenix has 22 games left, 9 at...

I think Huntley might be ok filling out the 'break glass in case of emergency' role on the FC side if that's what ends up happening.

I liked his motor from what I remember. I'm always on board with guys who have high motor even if they're flawed elsewhere. Much rather have Bismack types than Bol Bol types.

    Suns 2025-2026 Season Discussion

All-nba switched to positionless last year (or maybe year before) and so he's not strictly competing against other Guards. A number of mainstays on the all-nba teams from last few years are already ineligible because of the 65 games, (Giannis, Tatum, Steph, Lebron), and a few more threading the...

    Suns 2025-2026 Season Discussion

I don't think all-nba impacts his salary anymore, so there's no financial incentive (I could be wrong on this). The prestige of all-nba is still pretty nice though, and he should be in the running for that.

I love how hyped Gillespie gets here. I really hope Phoenix finds a way to keep him around, but worried he might get priced out.

    Suns 2025-2026 Season Discussion

One other factor that is probably at play is the 65 games eligibility for post-season awards. Book (by my math) has missed 16 games, which means he can only miss one more before he's ineligible.

Suns draft Rasheer Fleming with the 31st pick

You can see he's still processing where he needs to be at times on both ends of the court, but having reps in non-garbage non-gleague minutes should help this. I hope they can find 15-20 mins a game for him to develop.

    The Grayson Allen thread

He's the only player other than Book who can consistently get downhill to make plays for others. Green should be that in theory, but in practice he's been pretty poor at it so far. Hopefully it's just getting more comfortable post injury.

Celtics @ Suns Tuesday Game Thread, 2-24-2026

I think both things can be true, that the Suns are severely lacking in firepower and that there some fundamental effort issues. This last game in particular the lack of effort was noticeable, particularly with rebounding. I can't fault them on the offense; they're missing so many weapons that...

    The Oso Ighodaro Thread.

The inverse is hurting the team too, because Phoenix is missing shots these long 3s, teams are getting out and scoring on the break for easy points.

Our 2 most tenacious defenders. It'd be nice if Dunn wasn't such a zero on the offensive end right now.

Very curious to see how Green does with some time to recover since his nasty fall. Hope he can start putting some good games together.

    Suns sign Heywood Highsmith

Highsmith MIGHT be a reasonable low cost replacement for O'Neal (but honestly, I'd rather the Suns invest in Fleming for this), but definitely not for Allen. Allen has been crucial as one more creator off the dribble given injury issues with Book and Green.

    Suns sign Heywood Highsmith

Great conversation! Those are definitely great big men you listed; they are all time greats. The bolded part has happened though, with Jokic, Embiid, Wembenyama, AD, and Giannis. I think more than anything the league has prioritized skill over size (to a point), whether that's been dictated by...
