    Writing off this season to think you will get a top qb in the 2027 draft is dumb. In the 2025 college preseason the thought was this would be a good draft for qbs but it isn't and certainly could happen again.

    I think it is the"Super Bowl blackout" over the weekend. NFL doesn't want any distractions or announcements. IMO you will start seeing coaching announcements on Monday and Tuesday.

    If we are going to give the Browns a draft pick i would rather give them several for DE Myles Garrett not Schwartz. Our defense would be one of the best regardless of whoever our DC is. :cool:

    He actually did as well or better than many of the top rating qbs but is criticized for all the team losses. But he had practice squads RBs starting ,a terrible OL and an awful defense.

    Rodgers isn't coming to AZ. He will either play another year in Pittsburgh for McCarthy or retire.

    It was an excellent press conference. Very outgoing personality and also nice that his brother Matt and family were there. The Kyler Murray qb controversy was not really answered but that was to be expected. It will be interesting to see how he builds his staff.

    Former Giants ST coordinator Michael Ghobrial is a favorite to land with the Arizona Cardinals, per multiple sources. Ghobrial was the Giants ST coordinator for the past 2 seasons. Worked with new Cardinals coach Mike LaFleur previously with the Jets.

    Ganmbo reported that Lafleur will be calling the plays. So really the key is the DC. I really hope he brings in an experienced one.

    The expectation is that Kubiak will notify the teams today (Sunday). He can't sign a contract until after the Super Bowl but I believe his agent can work out the contract. The losing team must likely will sign a HC this week that was in their backup plan. Hopefully the Cards can still get LaFleur.

    Totally agree. Teams change year to year. Injuries have major impacts. So do drafts, free agents, etc.

    Not really, it they have a good backup plan and PR department they can just say they were dong their due diligence to interview Kubiak who just became available for 2nd interviews since his team is going to the Super Bowl.     IMO having more cap space is not a reason to pick one team over another. Teams know how to play the game and sign key players regardless of how much cap space they have. Happens all the time. Plus how many top players really make it to free agency. etc.etc.etc.

    I don't think the Cards would be meeting with Kubiak if they felt they didn't have a chance of getting him. None of us know what the key factors will be for Kubiak's decision. Just speculation. Although a contract can't be signed until after the Super Bowl, we should know his decision by Sunday...

    You might be right but as I recall Gannon really was bringing in "his guys" that he he'd worked with over the years and they all had the same "ultra positive" attitude. He also never replaced any of them. IMO it was weird.
