If anything he makes Mark Williams more expendable because Oso is a clear 5 now. Koa will never be a starter over Fleming but maybe he develops into a backup 4.

from a good school - went far in the tourney - i watched all the wildcat games in the tourney but whatevs lol

he's shown flashes - if he'd shown more he would have been drafted higher - he can play defense and take up space - high motor and can score inside - good pick for where he was drafted and for the peanuts we gave up

judging by 8 minutes of his tournament highlights, he's a forward who plays like a center. primarily layups and dunks. But i remember he did stand out to me at the time. so i'm good with the pick.

I wonder if the Suns would trade #27 in the next draft for more second rounds picks or they might use it to trade a player like Allen.

Granted, you're probably not going to get a needle mover with what the Suns had to offer, but Peat is short for his position, can't shoot a lick from outside... and likely will never develop a shot (if you saw his combine workout), and is going to get chewed up by longer players on the interior. He has almost no upside.

Suns would have been much smarter to take a longer term project with potential.

I watch every single second of Arizona basketball. He was obviously good in college, but I knew since high school that his game was too limited to be impactful in the pros based on his height and shooting ability. the only way he was ever going to be a solid pro was if he developed a jumper and not only didnt he develop the requisite jumper, it got worse. His combine numbers for shooting were historically bad. He made 25% of his threes in the combine, and that's with nobody guarding him. To put in perspective, Tobe Awaka shot better and he's the definition of an under the basket PF/C.

You want to be happy with the pick, go for it. I'm just making sure that people temper their expectations.

I disagree with TJ on this one. He’s a bull dog. Already strong and has potential to get much stronger, never stops moving, smart player, very good passer inside.

Isn’t a confident outside shooter but he absolutely showed he can shoot outside, just lacks confidence in his shot.

Prior to the combine (which I think is meaningless) he was viewed as a certain lottery pick.

Great high upside, high floor pick.
