Here’s the full game Indiana vs. Miami:

If you don’t have time for the full game, here’s the INT by Beck in the final moments of the Indy-Miami championship game:

Some of the Reaction from the talking heads after the game:

As is always the case, plenty of plays that determined the outcome. Blocked punt. D could not stop Indy on two fourth down plays that went for the go ahead flying Medoza TD. That INT that ended Miami’s comeback hope stands out since it came at the very end. Did it highlight the injured arm of Beck? The WR was behind coverage, but it required a ball to the goal line. Did the WR not cut off the route and/or at least contest the INT? Did Beck overestimate his arm thinking he could beat the coverage?

Both QBs were on the radar for the Cards with the Raiders getting first choice by virtue of their #1 pick. Note that other QB-needy teams passed on Beck and he was there in the 3rd round. Cards took a RB and a OG ahead of a QB who played in the college championship game. Is that the value the Cards placed on Beck—did they ‘take a flyer’ on him with the 3rd down pick?

Moderators: Are the many YouTube links a problem here? If so, let me know and I will delete them (or you can). If forum members are really interested, they will find them on their own.

Just read that in each of Miami's loses they had the ball with a chance to win on the final drive and in all 3 of them Beck threw a game deciding pick.

Didn't know that one.
If INTs are the measure, here's some more stupid QBs who threw lots of interceptions in their career:

Brett Favre – 336 ints (that was at a 5% clip of passes being INT)

Fran Tarkenton – 266 ints

Johnny Unitas – 253 ints

Dan Marino – 252 ints

Peyton Manning – 251 ints

PS A lot of those INTs were in important games. All of the above QBs in the HOF.

Really reaching back 30 years for relevant examples, huh?

Toxic media and fans is why, click baits spewing out venom - I think it caused prematurely ejaculation of Kyler - he ain’t hurt and cards already committed to that massive contract - so should have had love with km in the backfield - defensive additions finally reaching potential- but no - we got self inflicted wounds to the franchise- while same toxic media now saying how great km is in Minnesota - bunch of doofuses

Check out Kurt Warner and Terry Bradshaw then add in fumbles for the real insight

Really reaching back 30 years for relevant examples, huh? It takes a few years for guys to accumulate a record number of INTS and get into the HOF. Going back into NFL history only proves the point---INTS have been around for a long time and do not paint the full picture of a QBs success. Why do you think reaching back 30 years is wrong???

@GimmedaBall i just think the agrument overall is irrelevant. How many INTs a hall of famer threw over a 10 or 15 year or longer career doesn’t do much to inform whether a kid who threw double-digit picks his last two years in college is likely to convert into a pro.

Obviously today’s game is much more efficient than when Brett Favre retired 16 years ago, much less the game of those old-timers.

Josh Allen threw 15 INTs his redshirt sophomore year at Wyoming before settling down with six his final season.

Russell Wilson had double digit picks his last two seasons at NC State before protecting the ball really well in his final year at Wisky.

Mahomes had double-digit INT seasons his two years as a starter at Texas Tech.

Sorry, you've gone off on a tangent only you can follow. That was not my point in posting the career stats for INTs of HOF QB. My point is that INTS are part of the game and that ALL QBs have some logged against their stats. Even the 'greats' have multiple INT games.

Odds are pretty high that every newbie QB is going to toss plenty of INTs coming into the pro game. Check out Payton Manning's INT total his rookie season---28 INTs at a 4.9% of pass attempts---and he still didn't top Brett Favre's career 5% number.

Why did you assume that you, of all people, know what my point was/is? I made no mention about any college QB's INT numbers and how it is going to inform how he is going to do in the pros. Where (corrected spelling error) did you get that take away from the career INTs of HOF QBs? There probably is a relationship to be had should you follow that issue. But that was not my point. That is the narrative concocted in the dark recesses of your reptilian brain stem.

In the interest of fair play, why don't you do the research and get back to the forum with your content so we can nit-pick your ideas???

ALL QBs toss INTS. It is part of the game.

So . . . what are your predictions for KM in Minny??? Does he start Game 1? Is he going to be their salvation or will he just have more premature ejaculations on the playing field?

Best case scenario he is a prototypical sized QB who was recovering from a major arm injury last year that shines now that he is healing (I’ll forgive some of his high INT ratio if he wasn’t quite 100%)

Worst case scenario he is a bust and you can put him in the Jacobi basket of nfl QBs who shouldn’t be an nfl starter and our new GM will pick a QB high

I have low expectations, I’m excited to see what MLF can do with him
Sadly his arm wasn’t very strong before the injury.

Who disputes this? Your point is inane.
Ask that question of anyone who gives you a positive reaction to that statement of yours.

If my point is so inane, why did it require me to explain it to you? What is truly inane is me giving you my time when I'd rather be talking about Cardinal football.

I posted Beck's INT that sealed the victory for Indiana. Do you have any reaction to that throw? Is it a measure of his arm strength or was it a communication mistake between him and the WR?

When are you going to post that research of yours as to the relationship between a college QB's INTs and how that translates to his performance in the pros?

(Removed an unnecessary insult with this Edit)

I guess the question is if the arm is strong enough to work with the as yet unknown offensive scheme MLF is going to use?

Plenty of QBs have come down the road who had rocket arms with little success to show for it (exhibit A is JaMarcus Russell---who was reported to throw the ball 70 yards in the air while on his knees. Others can do this as well---Mahomes as a success story.)

Warner's multiple injury to his hand really destroyed his fastball and his long-distance range and came close to forcing his retirement. He made up for it with hard work, time, some gloves, and adjusting his game based on anticipation and knowing the D inside-and-out.

Do you see CBK doing the same?

Also, which current Card QB has the strongest arm going into training camp? JB, Minshew, CBK?

Did those guys also throw picks almost everytime their team had the ball with a chance to win late?

Otherwise, I am not sure of the relevance.
