I have been one of Torey's biggest supporters. I think he is a good coach who does his best with what he has. But I believe the time has come to go in a different direction. We all thought the bullpen sucked, and the starting pitching was good. How did that work out? Regardless, it is time for a change (I believe). Something has to happen. Just my opinion. Yeah, I am stubborn, my downfall in life.

Not going to happen anytime soon.
Lost the first series to the Dodgers, then went on to win a huge string of series, before being swept by the Cubs.

10. Arizona Diamondbacks (Preseason Rank: 20)

March/April Record: 16-14

Sometimes it’s easy to forget the Dbacks since they share a division with the Padres and the juggernaut that is the Dodgers, but Arizona has held its own so far this season. In fact, they’ve jumped up 10 spots in our rankings, which is no small feat.

The Dbacks are another team that’s been ravaged by early injuries, but Corbin Carroll and random breakout star Ildemaro Vargas are leading the offensive charge in the desert. It helps that José Fernández has excelled since his promotion and that newcomer Nolan Arenado went from an ice-cold start to a red-hot streak of run production.

I think the first change needs to be the pitching coach. Wasn’t a fan last year as all of our pitchers seemed to regress.

I think they are now playing about like I expected them to at the beginning of the year. :(

Torey's in game decisions are just awful. Take yesterday, for instance...Kelly is plugging along pretty well, then gets into trouble by loading the bases...his pitch count is getting higher, but he seems to right himself and get the next two batters out pretty easily. Then, suddenly, Torey sends out the pitching coach (with RT warming up), seemingly to stall a bit...I fully expected the PC to walk back and Torey to come out and make the change, but they left Kelly in. On the surface this doesn't seem like a big deal, but my gripe is, if you wanted to make the change, just make the change...instead after Kelly got the two outs and had regained his rhythm, you send the PC out and completely killed the momentum. Basically Torey was the cooler.

He just has almost no feel for managing the game.
