That seals it, with the 3rd...or 9th...or 12th...pick. The cardinals take Francis Mau-i-go-a to the hospital for back surgery and then will be ready to start in 2027...maybexc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media

Herniated disc doesn't have to mean surgery. That seals it, with the 3rd...or 9th...or 12th...pick. The cardinals take Francis Mau-i-go-a to the hospital for back surgery and then will be ready to start in 2027...maybe![]()
Bailey has to be the pick at 3….if we trade down to 9 or 12 they could still get proctor ( who the browns supposedly love) or the Georgia kid….o line still in playxc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media

So he has both a herniated disc AND teams arent at all concerned with his medicals.
I think this has more to do with fans overrating the seriousness of disc issues than faulty reporting. You put the average weightlifter under an MRI and you would probably find half of them have a partially herniated disc with no symptoms. There is a lot of variation in the severity of disc issues. It sounds like whatever Mauigoa has is not as serious as the problems Rob Gronkowski had coming out of college.
Gronk had 3 disc issues in his career and each time came back at full strength. In general a microdisectomy is a super high success rate procedure for football players. An ACL tear is much more worrisome and people dont bat an eye at drafting a guy with an ACL tear high (Jameson Williams).
If there were reports of multiple bulging discs I would be concerned. If he needs surgery he can recover, if he doesn't, disc issues can actually heal without intervention.
