The draft that reinvigorates the casual fan and general fan base would be Love at #3 and a trade up for Simpson.

I am not saying this is the wisest approach, but if part of the off-season goal is to bring back fans and revive interest in an organization that has generally become irrelevant; Love at #3 and Simpson at end of round 1 would do it. Maybe the organization is sick of home games with 50% of the crowd being for the away team. I know this sounds illogical for more serious fans, but unfortunately most casual fans just want a jersey to wear and entertainment.
I am intrigued by this approach only from the standpoint of both guys really hitting, Harrison Jr. taking his game to a new level, and the Cardinals having their version of Aikman, Smith, and Irvin. Yes, the Cowboys had their dominant offensive line, but they didn’t when they drafted Irvin in 88, Aikman in 89, and Smith in 90.

however, that same casual fan would be calling them both busts 5 games into the season when the o line cant block for them

I would be insanely fired up if the Cards had their own version of the triplets. Whether they work out or not in the long run is irrelevant to me being fired up and having hope for it now. Knowing something and hoping for something are different. And even though a lot of posters around here try and pretend like they “know,” they don’t. No one does. Hope is a good thing.

If they draft an OT and DT and start 2-2 fans will start coming back.

Typically a headcoach only gets one QB to develop, but when a GM is on the hot seat sometimes they force the issue.... I'd hope Matt would be given someone better than Simpson for his one QB.

Brisket is a perfectly watchable QB in the meantime. He can be our Geno for a year or two.

Between the 20's, they were very watchable...inside either 20, that's when I got up to get a beer. Unless it was the second half...light beer just didn't cut it.

I would be stoked with us picking Love. I believe his threat makes the qb better as well as the o-line. It’s a little different blocking for A plodder as opposed to a greyhound.
We can trade up into the first for an O-line or defensive player.
I think Beck might be in play or even Allar depending how things unfold.
