Question: We know the cap hit for releasing Kyler is nearly $55m but how much of that goes to Kyler rather than hitting our cap? I ask because there might be no incentive to for Kyler to sign with his new team for anything more than the minimum…

Yes. There is no incentive for Kyler to sign for less than the minimum. This has been stated multiple times on multiple threads.

Question….would the raiders consider pick 3 …a 2027 first rounder and Kyler Murray for the number 1 pick? I ask because I have seen this rumor floating around

Let’s just forget about Murray. It’s not productive to worry about him.

Let’s talk about rebuilding our oline and running game.
That is kind of silly - let’s see we run him out of town for what reason ? Pay him to go to upgrade many other teams for what reason? We don’t have a replacement in a poor qb market - for what reason - cause folks are mad ? Because he is hurt again? Michael Carter was our leading rusher with 333 yards last year! Expect any qb to be successful with that running production ?
I think it’s stupid to not compete km against rookie or other qb that comes in here. And pay km that much.
But stupid is as stupid does

Kyler sucks, and I am 100% certain he will flop wherever he lands. He will be like Russel Wilson after leaving Seattle.... terrible. except Kyler was NEVER good

JJ McCarthy must be having a great time right now.
JJ could be alright. Ryen made a good point about players probably loving the highlights more than the reality. The negative plays or not letting ball go could turn players off quick.

Nate Tice did make a better case for Kyler with the Vikings. Petzing wanted him to play more like a real NFL QB (throwing digs) and other routes he's not comfortable with. KOC would call more overs, corners, posts, etc and would have a better chance of getting the ball out. He's more Sean Payton than Shanahan.

We'll see. Geno and Mac Jones are still safer & better fits imo.

I’m just saying multiple reports that your teammates are looking for someone else probably doesn’t feel great.

Yeah if you strip away all the context away from these stats then he is exactly like Stafford!
Two terrible organizations with good QBs.

Very similar actually.

The only difference is the Cards were stupid in dealing with K1 while the lions delt Padford.

Team Murray better not play this wrong or he'll be forced to go to the Jets. Vikings aren't going to wait long.

Yeah, agree. If you want to prove the doubters wrong goto the set up with the best pieces to enable that. Dude doesnt need the money.
