i think one thing bad teams need to accomplish in a season of losing is to find a few overlooked players who can be solid contributors

nah man... they signed this cat for the sole purpose of gathering whatever info he collected on the niners in the few weeks he was in the building.
"San Francisco initially signed Knight as an undrafted free agent out of UCLA in 2022. He had the second-highest coverage grade of all 49ers defensive backs during the preseason (81.4 compared to A.J. Parker's 85.9)."
