1. Don Coryell
2. Hank Stram
3. Tom Landry
Nice thread. I loved the old Raiders under Madden, so was never a fan of Stram. I respected him & he was a hoot on the sidelines. Couldn’t like Landry because the Cardinals were in the NFCE, but I also had tremendous respect for him. For me:
1. Coryell (but only as a Cardinal HC)
2. John Madden
3. Tie between Parcells & Dungy & for completely opposite reasons. No one prepared his team for battle like Parcells did. And I just love Dungy the man.

John Madden... first NFL coach I ever met

Tom Landry.. an icon... THE Icon...lost every ounce of respect I had for the cowboys the day jurreh unceremoniously kicked him to the curb.

Don Shula... cant argue with wins

The Tuna, Bill Parcells... even watching interviews I wanted to kill quarterbacks for this guy.

Joe Bugel. Lots of cards fans pan on him. But Buges was the best damn O-line coach the nfl ever seen and a fantastic guy....

Tony Dungy.... Tampa 2 anybody? Smart coach, really nice guy.

It all starts will KK for me...just kidding!

Bill Walsh is my all-time favorite, hands down.

Also have to mention Paul Brown (no other coach impacted the sport as much as he did) and Sid Gillman (his Rams and Chargers squads featured extremely high powered offenses).

Gotta admire the Steelers trio of Noll, Cowher, and Tomlin. To me, they all, especially the first two, embody the toughness I'd imagine Pittsburgh is all about.
