I am the one who brought it up initially about whether he might like it more here or somewhere else. I do not want to discuss politics here either. I prefer to keep my own views to myself. Sorry.
That wasn't the convo. We were just talking about why or why not he might prefer PHNX over Pittsburgh. I don't think anyone here cares about his politics. Its about whether it makes a difference to him.
Regardless of what pick we spent on him etc. I am looking forward to watching this kid carry the ball.
At first glance, he runs between the tackles like JC, but also has breakaway speed.
He must hate playing in Pittsburgh. It's the heart of MAGA country and he is totally a West Coast kind of guy (I am not taking sides, just recognizing Rodgers bent). AZ isn't perfect for him, but its closer. I am sort of "meh" on this. He is due to drop off really quickly. However, I would...
Why not look at it as being more developed coming in, saving time to develop him in his first few years in the NFL.
He’s older, he has more experience. Throw him in there and see what he’s got. If he pans out, great. If not, draft another qb next year.
Watching a lot of video of both Beck and Brissett. I am no scout, so take that into consideration. I didn't see very many reads or throws that Brissett made that Beck could not have made. In fact, they look like similar players. Beck seems to be a very accurate passer and does a good job...
Have to do both. QB now AND next year if necessary. Can’t get around wasting a few picks trying to find a QB IMO. It’s kind of like expecting that the first girl you date is the one you are going to marry. It COULD happen but it’s not likely. One sure way never to find a wife is to not date...
Nah. Just see what he has. Who knows. Maybe the kid pans out. He is an accurate passer and he is big and thick. If not, move on to the next prospect. We need to keep doing this until we find our QBOF.
I dont think you understood the question. What players were thrown into the starting position too soon and it set back their career. Aaron Rogers did not make his first start until his third season, so that does not qualify. And Steve Young's career was not set back by becoming a starter too...
