My two cents says that IMO, this is not only a sports forum people can express their opinion but also a place some may use to vent some daily frustrations that they may not have another place to vent.

In reality, I hope Love is the best of the best. I'm looking forward to see what all of his hype is and a running back and a receiver. It would definitely add a wrinkle or two to a really good defensive team to have to worry about Love, McBride, Wilson, and maybe even Harrison. That right there is a full force impact to contend with. Almost like a good team ◡̈. Now, if we can get something out of the defense.

Not sure i see Peterson's almost Barry Sanders-esque cut on a dime ability from him yet, but instead see a little more Marshall Faulk in him... which would be just fine and dandy too.

His style of running reminds me of Walter Payton. His style. He is not Sweetness till he can show this during the regular season, but the guy has ability no doubt.

This is functionally irrelevant

I don't look at him as a 4th or 5th WR, I look at him as a starting RB that can catch the ball so he will get his opportunity to catch passes.

I was initially against drafting Love, but a week or two before the draft I switched because it was apparent that he was the most talented player.

His showing against the Raiders is just scratching the surface of what he can be.

I agree that he’s a reasonable third option in the passing game. Bill Barnwell did an analysis of how top RBs play from the WR position and they were all replacement-level.

Watch the replays of his runs. His yards after contact is incredible.
On 2 or 3 of his yin’s he got 4-5 yards after contact.

Maybe over the course of his career but David Johnson’s peak was 2k from scrimmage and first team all pro.

I actually never thought David Johnson was that great. He always fell over, didint have great speed or power. I thought they just had a great offense and he was smart. The minute the line/offense regressed so did his physical/athletic limitations began to show.

Oh I dunno...for that one season...we ran DJ on that stretch play and dude was deadly...bounce,...bounce,...bounce,...BOOM GONE!!
He hit a hole like few runningbacks in NFL history ever could...usually preceded by that little hop skip thing he did.

But in true Cardinal fashion, injury stepped in...and that happens to most teams.. but what made this instance a true cardinal injury...was the girlfriend that decided to make him a vegetarian to assist with his recovery...
just something about a guy that dont eat meat...they seem to lose that killer instinct... DJ never came back...
I mean,...some guy showed up in his jersey...but it certainly wasnt the David Johnson we lost.
we were very fortunate Houston was in dire need of a team to pawn Deandre Hopkins off on...because that contract keim gave DJ was way out of hand
