The United States Men's National Team is set for a pivotal 2026 World Cup clash against Australia at Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington, and local NFL royalty Marshawn Lynch just delivered the ultimate hometown hype. Ahead of the Group D matchup at Lynch's former stomping grounds, the notoriously unfiltered NFL star was asked about the raucous atmosphere awaiting Mauricio Pochettino's squad. His response certainly didn't disappoint, as the former running back referenced the reaction to his "Beast Quake" moment in the 2011 NFL playoffs.

The moment featured Lynch breaking nine tackles on an iconic 67-yard touchdown run that had fans in Seattle celebrating so loudly that it officially registered on local seismographs as a minor earthquake. Now, Lynch can see it happening again when the USMNT and Australia square off.

"This is how I see it, they caused an earthquake already. We just want to make sure that the building stays put together, because I think if they get loud enough, I think they can bring that (expletive) down," Lynch said.

If there's anyone who knows about what the hometown crowd in Seattle is capable of, it's certainly Lynch. And for the five-time NFL Pro Bowler to predict that anything could result in a reaction that matches his "Beast Quake" moment, you know he has to be impressed with the fans in attendance.
