Right?
With all the resources we have funneled into it...our front 7 suxx greasy drippy ass... They hung out secondary out to dry all last season...and even so, when looking at individual play...most of our secondary is pretty good...and VERY young ...we have a lot of hope there’.
.
But that front seven ...damn...rather it's scheme flaws or just poor individual performances....they suck.
We got a couple names but outside of a couple guys the play is just rancid.
Most of those guys should be ashamed to cash their pay check....
There is no honor among sleeze.

You make a good point about the importance of the front seven.

Of course the Front seven is primarily responsible for the critical task of stopping the run.

And, even a fringe top 30 nfl Qb will carve up a good secondary if you give him all day to throw.

It’s why we’re doomed this year, unless Nolan and maybe one or two of the other 1st year or 2nd year guys turn into pro bowl players immediately

i'm so tired of watching the same running play on twitter with the giant gash in the middle but after seeing it 472 times i've realized we can't get to the qb with 4 - and we damn sure can't stop the run with 4

qb pressures may get better with sweat on one side and nolen on the other but that won't help with stopping the run game - especially with other teams going 12 or 13 personnel as well

that's 7 deep on the line going off against our mediocre 4 - runningback hits the line of scrimmage with a full head of steam while our defensive tackles get double teamed (if need be)

me thinks we need to stack the box and trust our secondary cuz if you can't stop the run you're done - for every extra blocking tight end we need to assign an extra linebacker - and that doesn't even count the extra blitzer we need to get to the qb

maybe we are screwed - but i swear we did more with less - so idfk

You know retaining Rallis is baffling to me too. However I trust Mike LaFleur. We got healthy, it was a good defense then it wasn't, I think that's because they quit caring but if the offense lights it up they will play harder just because in my opinion. I expect at least top ten in both offense and defense, more like top 5 offense and just a top ten defense. It wasn't just Beck that was good it was every QB on the team. People have no idea what is about to happen.

while I appreciate the positive outlook.... predicting or expecting top ten from this defense is just asking an awful lot based on what they have shown so far
so far it seems it would be a mighty feat if rallis can get them into the twenties
